Stormy Skies In The Keys

Later in the day, an ominous thunderstorm rolled in like a dramatic villain in a nautical movie. Staying put in the Keys a little longer than originally planned now felt like a very smart decision (nothing says “unwise” like trying to outwit Mother Nature with a sailboat!). The forecast promises more atmospheric excitement tomorrow, but after that, it looks like the skies will finally shake off the drama. Fingers crossed, we’ll have a solid weather window come Monday and Tuesday to head up the Hawk Channel to Key Largo, and then onward to Miami. Until then, we’re soaking up all the subtropical charm and keeping a close eye on those forecast updates—because on a boat, your plans are always at the mercy of the weather gods!
