This closed group is a very active, super friendly, and extremely helpful community of Island Packet yacht owners (Paketeers, anyone?), some of them also factory personnel. It is a place to ask questions, answer questions, provide tips and tricks, get advice, share photos and videos, and simply get inspired. It is one of the most helpful, most constructive, and most friendly groups we have seen on Facebook. These Paketeers are awesome, and we are proud to consider ourselves part of this family now.

East Coast Inlets – Facebook Group Map

This Facebook group is dedicated to sharing information on navigating the inlets of the East Coast and the Gulf Coast, USA. For each inlet, you will find a master post accessible through the search feature. By adding your comments to these master posts, all related information is kept organized and easy to reference. The group provides an easy-to-use interactive map (see below) that pinpoints all the inlets. You can click on the map markers to be directed to the corresponding master post. Note: You must be a member of the closed Facebook group to access these master posts.

Thriving On The ICW – eBook-Style blog

The blog “Thriving on the ICW” provides tips and guidance for safely navigating the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), an inland route along the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts of the United States. It offers advice on handling the waterway’s narrow channels, shallow waters, swift currents, low bridges, and heavy vessel traffic, as well as ways to protect its sensitive aquatic habitats. Part of their content has been picked up by Aqua Map (a popular marine navigation application) and is now featured on that blog, starting with Ten Tips for Navigating the ICW.
